Scope of Work:

Dead Sea Works Ashdod Site is a Raw Materials, Bulk export warehouse. DSW mines its raw materials from the Dead Sea area and export it worldwide.  The site and process are highly polluted. Moreover, its proximity to the other Docks and City of Ashdod warded the project.

The projects included process analyses, detail design for manufacturing and incorporating both old and new systems. The Integrated system included several stand-alone mini-sites. They included 9  Beg-Housing Filters  at total capacity of 80,000 m3/h.

Filters were  of two kinds: 1. Stand alone filters at 8,000 up to 15,000 m3/h  2. In-system insert-able filters into the conveyers heads. That is as well as the conveyers, Valves, Fans, Emission Stacks , Ducting and reinforcement support for the system.

The Chalenges

Major challenge were working in a “Live” site while its fully operational with tight time-table pending Boats Loading and minimal shut-down. Further, the Dock is a hazardous environment with limited accessibility.

* General Engineering:  Ring Engineering ltd.

** Active filter’s parts were supplied by Donaldson UK f.
